Chuck Scholz: #occupythetrough
The lengths the QHW goes to keep this guy relevant is embarrassing. Private practice my ass. His country club membership hinges on him leaching off taxpayer money. From Looking for Lincoln to GREDF to his triple dip in the wasted Hydro money, he's parlayed his time in office into scamming local government entities and nonprofit boards. I wonder if all the roundtable attendees had to pay him to talk to The Dick.
Word is he's got a plan to put the kibosh on this too.

The Union Difference: Tree City USA edition

More signs that the strategery going on around City Hall and propped up by the local dead tree media, is a soup sandwich being eaten in a chicken wire canoe while it is paddled up Shit Creek by a guy swinging a football bat wearing bowling cleats.Please enjoy the above pictures and the following description of a day in the life of a city worker(s).

Ok the time lapse from pic 1 to pic 2 is 53 minutes. They were there
>>> yesterday for a total of 3 hours. What are they
>>> doing?
>>> Well they used that big yellow digger to plant a six foot tall tree
>>> yesterday. It's in the pic but too small to make out. They have parked
>>> down the street a trailer with 3 or 4 trees in it. They had that trailer
>>> yesterday too, in case you thought maybe they were waiting on more trees
>>> during yesterday's stand around party. I watched them plant the tree
>>> yesterday during my lunch hour it took about 10 minutes total. Most of
>>> that
>>> time was pushing the dirt back in around the tree, it took about 4 swipes
>>> to
>>> dig the hole, and two guys carried over the tree and dropped it in. So
>>> far
>>> we've got two trips to the same spot with a backhoe and 2 pickups between
>>> 3
>>> and 5 guys there for 4 hours. When I got home today they were there,
>>> when
>>> I
>>> left 53 minutes later you can see what work had been accomplished
>>>
>>> Just thought I'd share what you're Quincy tax dollars were accomplishing
>>> today! Have a good day!
>>>
>>
>> Seems it takes two days and 3 to 5 city workers to plant one 6 ft tree in
>> a
>> front yard.
>>
>> What say you Mr. Sparks?????
>>
>> FYI - they were still there at 12:45pm today - second day - same 6ft
>> tree.
